AW Vater & Co is a family owned company who have been operating for over 50 years, based in Saddleworth SA.


Allen Vater started the business cutting wood but soon found himself trading chaff and grain.

This kept his truck busy, but with an expanding business Allan was forced to spend more time in the office, where trading commodities blossomed, along with other facets of the business.

Today the trading Division of the family business is managed by one of his sons, Kim. The business continues to grow each year with a focus on the domestic market here in SA as well as strong growth interstate particularly Victoria. There has always been a focus on DCT and Track trading as well which has enabled us to access overseas markets. AW Vater gives growers an alternative with pricing offering our own storage facility at Saddleworth, or we offer on farm pricing of grain all year round.

With the deregulated market now of wheat and barley , we are very excited of the trade potential that will now exists, due to close relationships we forged with some of the multi nationals we have new and exciting prospects to offer you.

As always we will be offering prices on the majority grades of wheat and barley, as well as pulses, protein meals and oil seeds whether you are a buyer or seller our endeavour is to give you an alternative in this competitive market.
